THE WESTERN SERIES

​I do medium format film photography.  I develop the film myself and then scan the negatives to create digital files.  I love walking and exploring and am intrigued by the people and history of the areas I visit.  In particular, I find decay visually fascinating.  I love an image that alludes to a story, and hunt during the golden hours of the sun’s setting and rising.  After my sister Sarah died and I moved back from New Orleans to Buffalo, NY, I decided to do a road trip from the East Coast to the West and back again.  I took many photos along the way - particularly in Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah and Colorado.
